Torn...

....and twisted inside and out.
Needing a moment,
A memory,
Something real to quell these doubts.
Such anticipation,
Sweet, sweet agony of waiting,
Shattered by unexpected events.
My longing drowns in disappointment.
My heart is full,
And yet it ceases to bleed.
I reach for some kind of control,
Something to stop these dizzying thoughts,
But there is nothing.
Just a dull emptiness, that blackens my spirit.
Tears fall once more,
Uncontrolled and merciless,
I think this cup hath finally runneth over,
As I sit here on the edge of sanity,
Screaming at the darkness,
"Take me, I am yours..."
